30 inch and 27 inch Sony LCD TVs
At the same time, the 30-inch Sony KLV-30HR3 (KLV30HR3) LCD TV and 27-inch Sony KLV-27HR3 (KLV27HR3) LCD TV use the latest developments in liquid crystal display technology. These newest VESA compliant Sony LCD TVs combine superior XGA resolution widescreen picture quality with a superb wide viewing angle (up to 170 degrees) and a compact, lightweight design that looks equally great free standing or wall-mounted. Advanced features, such as Picture Freeze and built in AC power capabilities further enhance their use throughout the home.Picture clarity and resolution are strengths of these latest Sony televisions. All three flat screen TVs utilise Sony’s PAL 3D comb filter to create high quality, realistic images.
With outstanding 1280 x 768 XGA resolution across its entire screen, the Sony KLV-30HR3 represents excellent value for money in the 30-inch LCD display category.
Available in black and silver, these new Sony flat screen TVs offer a high degree of design. With a profile of just 116mm (Sony KE-P37M1) or 119mm (Sony KLV-30HR3/Sony KLV-27HR3) these Sony flat screen TVs create a stunning visual focus to any design conscious living room. The televisions each have two 10W speakers, which are inconspicuously integrated below the screen and present one continuous panel display capable of outstanding audio reproduction. Another option is to seamlessly integrate the TV within the existing home entertainment network via an audio output. The Sony KE-P37M1 has audio output terminals that interface directly to Sony home theatre systems, enabling the user to enjoy all the power and realism of true 5.1 surround sound provided through the system.
“The development of these new models is driven by customer feedback, consumers appreciate the benefits of the new generation LCD and plasma TVs and are looking for these technologies at more affordable prices,” comments Adam Coomber, Product Manager for LCD and Plasma Televisions, Sony UK. “These new models fall within our mainstream range; they offer superb home entertainment at affordable prices; and they will look fantastic in any home environment.”
Notes
1 - PAL Progressive input capabilities – PAL is the television standard adopted throughout most parts of Europe whilst progressive scanning techniques provide a better, more stable picture output.2 - Dolby Virtual sound processing – Developed by Dolby Laboratories, this audio processing technology enables the user to create a virtual 5.1 surround sound in their living rooms using just the TV’s own stereo speakers.
3 – VESA – Video Electronics Standards Association
4 – PAL 3D comb filter – image processing technique that enhances the three-dimensional appearance of pictures even though they are presented on a two-dimensional screen.
5 – Picture Freeze – a Sony developed feature that enables the user to freeze the TV picture whilst the audio commentary continues. Particularly useful, when noting down information from the TV screen.
